Notes:
- The speed test is conducted by an engineering team in mainland China.
- Equipment used for the speed test:
- Dell R420 server to create four virtual machines with the same specifications
- Each virtual machine is connected to a different ISP circuit
- Operating system: Windows 7 Pro
- Three samples were taken for each application test.
- Testing methodologiesNetwork performance test:
- 10Mbps Internet test circuits involving the HKT Premium Internet, China Carrier 1 and China Carrier 2 in the same city.
- S 63 destination cities were ed in three regions – EMEA, US and APAC.
- A 24-hour ping test calculated the monthly latency & packet loss average
Application test:- Four computers with the same hardware specifications were connected to 10Mbps circuits from the HKT Premium Internet, China Carrier 1 and China Carrier 2 .
- The same number of tests were performed on all computers within the same time frame.
- Test results were collected multiple times in Q3 2017 with average results calculated.
