On the other hand, while the business opportunities brought by the GBA help the flow of people, goods, capital, services and information, they pose potential data security threats to enterprises. In particular, given the special regulations and systems on information security in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau, many more specialists well versed in cyber security compliance in the three places are needed to safeguard enterprises.
In his speech titled “Challenges presented by cyber security legislation and response measures”, Mr. Miro Pihkanen, Partner, Cyber Risk Services, Deloitte China, shared insights and reference cases in respect of cyber security threats faced by enterprises in their business expansion in the GBA, and offered suggestions on the establishment and deployment of professional cyber security structures.
